There’s a subtle yet significant difference in the culture that was created before me and the culture I was raised in. In addition to the culture that was created before my birth, the culture I was raised in included the distinctions made by my parents which seemed different from that of the older generations. In addition, due to a world on the technological fast track, my parents and my culture was much more complex than that of my grandmother. My mother, MW, states that she tended to be a bit more rebellious than her older brother which was much more out of line than my family was used to. Ayana Smith Advance Composition Essay One 9/11/2016 We all know of that old folktale if you tell a lie your nose will grow like Pinocchio, but what if a lie is a necessity? I've always been told lying wasn't something you were supposed to do but sometimes desperate needs call for desperate measures. Not all situations deserve the same level of openness some situations don't need the full truth. Children should be sheltered to certain things, personal business and when feelings are involved can all involve lying. Lying to children are typically not done in a harmful demeanor but more of "little white" lies. Lying to a child might be a necessity to keep tantrums under control, not old enough to handle the truth and to enjoy childhood. Children throw tantrums for things that can't obtain for such as ice cream, toys in the store and or candy. A "little white" lie might consist of a mother telling her child that if she buys the child candy all their teeth will fall out. Although this is a stretch it is a fib because candy and junk is unhealthy and it keeps the child from asking. This leads into the next reason children being young, sheltered and just not old enough to handle the truth. For example, children with parents in the prison systems, most tell their children that either their father or mother is at camp or gone on a vacation for a while. This lie is to protect the child from the deep truth about what prison is and the concept that they aren't old enough to understand. This also ties in with lying leading to be an outlet for the feelings of children to be shielded for the enjoyment of their childhood. Some of the best memories we have from our childhood stem from holidays with imaginary customs. Imaginary customs have been lying to children for centuries for their enjoyment such as Santa Clause and The Easter Bunny. When I was younger, around middle school I met a girl who used to lie all the time about the bruises on her legs and arms. Towards our senior year she revealed on retreat that she had been abused by her stepfather and he was finally going to jail and this was her release to be free. The lies she told were proof that sometimes the truth isn't always something you can just sprout out. She had lied for years to cover personal events that were going home at home that she wasn't ready to confess to strangers. Sometimes lying to keep confidential information under wraps is also a necessary thing to do. I believe in lying to keep your private information that go on between you and your friends or family. If there was ever a time between you and your friends were you have argued and you don't want outsiders to know, downplay, and say it was just a disagreement to keep people out your personal business. Not everyone needs to know what is going on with you and your personal life so lying can be the coverage to keep people away. Feelings are emotional state or reaction to something. Feelings can be complex and difficult to deal with when dealing with other people. We must learn to tread light with others feelings even if that means sometimes telling a lie. If a person is poor or can't afford the latest trends and ask you for your opinion on their outfit being rude isn't an option so telling a "white lie" will not hurt but in fact help. This can give confidence and possibly brighten up that person day by being nice even if you thought the outfit was outdated and ugly. Often times lying can help keep relationships, the honest truth tends to hurt and break relationships. Best example for this would be twin sisters and one asking the other if being a twin bothered her. It might be the honest truth that sometimes its hard or annoying but for the sake of the twins relationship she lies and says of course not I love being a twin. As you can see lying does have its benefits dependent upon the circumstance. Lying can eliminate feelings being hurt and keeping relationships afloat; lying allows children to enjoy childhood and due to their age. Lying might not always be something that you want to do but it is sometimes the right thing to do.

We also got blood samples from the 5 suspects at the crime scene, who had hex nuts in their car. Procedure To determine the blood type found at the scene we used a process called agglutination using Anti-A serum and Anti-b serum to test for a positive or negative agglutination. We also took both the hex-nuts from the crime scene and the hex-nuts we found at the crime scene and did a test called water displacement to figure out if each sample is made of the same material, to get a more accurate result we tested each size hex-nut 3 times using the exact same methods each time. Results After the agglutination test you can see what the blood type was found at the crime scene and what the suspects blood type is.
